Home Dog Boarding That Keeps their Routine — With Extra Tail Wags
Our dog boarding in South West London is built around your dog’s usual routine — feeding, walks and rest stay just as they are at home, so they settle in quickly and feel completely at ease. Alongside that, we explore some of South West London’s most-loved parks and green spaces together, keeping walks varied, stimulating and full of new smells. Plenty of cuddles included, naturally. 🐾💛
Your furry friend will enjoy an overnight stay (think of it as their holidays while you’re on yours) in our caring home in Wimbledon. We’re lucky to be surrounded by some of South West London’s most beautiful green spaces, including Wimbledon Park, Wimbledon Common, Southfields Recreation Ground, Garratt Park, Garfield Recreation Ground, and Wandle Meadow Nature Park — perfect for keeping walks varied, stimulating, and full of new smells to explore.
At home, we create a calm and loving environment where your dog’s comfort comes first. We follow their usual routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest so they can settle in quickly and feel completely at ease. Along with their regular schedule, we include fun adventure walks in the nearby parks, giving them plenty of fresh air, exercise and enrichment throughout their stay. There’s no shortage of cuddles! In our house, belly rubs, sofa snuggles and gentle attention are simply part of the service. 🐾
Throughout the stay, we’ll keep you reassured with real-time photo updates and daily reports via WhatsApp, so you can relax knowing your pup is happy and in safe hands! 📸
To make sure every dog gets the best possible care, we board a maximum of 2 dogs at a time (or up to 3 from the same household). This means your pup gets the full attention of 2 sitters and plenty of affection in a peaceful home environment.
* Please note that before accepting a second booking, we always make sure the dogs are well-matched in size and temperament — so every stay stays calm, safe and happy for everyone.

Reviews

Boarding Tipsy
"We booked Ari and Alex to look after Tipsy 7 nights while we were away, they’re a very friendly couple who are 100% animal lovers, Tipsy took to them straight away when they came to meet her beforehand and that gave me the confidence to leave her with them.
The contact was great and they sent updates and pictures throughout the week which was greatly appreciated as we were missing her. I would strongly recommend Ari and Alex to anyone who is needing someone to look after their canine family member. Thanks again Ari and Alex."

Boarding Cheeno
"After a previous successful day care with Ari and Alex we booked our first overnight stay for Cheeno. Ari and Alex sent us updates with great photos and Cheeno had a lovely time. It was great to be able to have a night out knowing Cheeno was being well looked after. Ari and Alex are responsible, caring and trustworthy. We are happy to recommend and will book them again. Thanks guys."

Dog Boarding FAQs
Q1: What is a home-from-home dog boarding stay?
A home-from-home dog boarding stay means your dog is cared for in a sitter's private home, rather than a traditional kennel - enjoying a calm, family environment with personalised one-to-one attention. At My Wagging Tail, your dog is welcomed into our Wimbledon (SW19) home, where they'll feel safe, settled and genuinely cared for. We keep their usual routine intact - daily walks in local parks, regular meal times, plenty of rest, and any medication they need.
Our hotel-style boarding covers up to 18 consecutive hours per night, with check-in from 5:00pm and collection by 11:00am the following morning. 🐾 Need a little extra time? Early check-ins and late pick-ups are easy to arrange: our hourly rate applies and for longer stays (up to 8 hours) we can combine boarding with a daycare slot - so a full 24-hour stay.
Q2: Do you accept all breeds and sizes?
We welcome most breeds and sizes; however, a Meet & Greet is required for all new dogs before any booking can be confirmed. This allows us to start with a relaxed introduction at a local park, followed by a visit to our home if appropriate. It gives us the opportunity to get to know your dog, understand their routine, and ensure everyone feels comfortable and well matched before confirming your stay.
Q3: What will my dog do during their stay?
Your dog's stay is designed to feel like a holiday - varied, comforting, and full of love. A typical day looks like this:
- Morning: Breakfast at their usual time, followed by a walk in one of our local South West London parks and green spaces
- Midday: Calm time at home with rest, enrichment toys and plenty of cuddles
- Afternoon: A second walk or play session, tailored to your dog's energy and preferences
- Evening: Dinner, sofa snuggles and bedtime in their cosy spot
Active time is always balanced with calmer moments, so your dog feels settled and content throughout their stay. We follow their usual routines as closely as possible (feeding, walks, rest and house rules) so whether they're used to curling up on the sofa or sleeping in their own bed, they'll feel right at home. And of course, you'll receive real-time photo and video updates via WhatsApp, so you can see exactly how they're getting on. 📸
Q4: What is included in dog boarding?
Boarding includes everything your dog needs to feel happy, safe and at home during a longer stay, a true second home of their own. Days are filled with adventure walks, personalised playtime, enrichment activities, constant supervision and plenty of cuddles. We're happy to offer healthy treats with your go-ahead, or stick to your dog's own supply - just let us know the daily allowance. And to help them settle in fast, you're very welcome to bring their favourite toys, a blanket or any comfort items from home. 🐾
✨ Optional Extras
All extras are agreed in advance — no surprises on collection day.
Early drop-offs & late pick-ups Need a little extra time? Additional hours beyond the standard 18-hour stay are charged at our hourly rate (up to 3 hours). For longer extensions, we'll convert the time into a daycare slot (subject to availability on the day).
A note on availability: our daycare and boarding spaces are limited to keep every stay calm and personal, and slots book up well in advance — especially during peak periods. We always recommend confirming any planned early drop-offs or late pick-ups at the time of booking, so we can hold the right slot for your dog.
Bringing more than one pup? Additional dogs from the same household are charged a small per-night fee, with a maximum of 3 dogs from the same home.
Group walks for sociable boarders Where temperaments are well-matched, your dog is welcome to join one of our group walks for some friendly socialisation. Spots are capped at a maximum of 4 dogs per walk - please let us know in advance if you'd like your pup to join, and we'll always do our best to fit them in. 🐾
💛 Exclusive Boarding — Just for Your Dog
Prefer your pup to have our home and full attention entirely to themselves?
Whether they're nervous around other dogs, recovering from surgery, an only-dog used to being the centre of everything, or you simply want that extra peace of mind — our Exclusive Boarding option blocks the second slot for the duration of your stay. Both sitters, the whole home, all to your dog. The additional fee covers the cost of keeping the second slot empty for your dog — WhatsApp us when you book to get a tailored quote.
Q5: How do you keep my dog's routine consistent?
We'll ask you to share your dog's full routine at the Meet & Greet. After that, if you decide to board with us and we feel your pup is a good match, we'll send you our onboarding form - a written record of everything that makes your dog feel at home: walks, feeding times, rest habits, house rules, off-lead permissions, vet information, emergency contact details, and any special quirks we should know about. Once we have it, we'll follow this routine as closely as possible throughout their stay, so your dog feels safe, comfortable and right at home from day one. 🐾
Q6: How can I prepare my dog for their stay?
After your Meet & Greet, we'll gather all the key details about your dog. In the meantime, here's what to have ready:
- Feeding routine (times, portions, dietary requirements)
- Medication details (if applicable, including dosage and schedule)
- Walking routine (frequency, duration, any preferences)
- Off-lead permissions (whether your dog can be safely let off the lead in parks)
- Behaviour notes (e.g., anxiety, triggers, socialisation with other dogs)
- Sleep routine (where they usually sleep, any habits)
- House rules (e.g., allowed on sofa/bed, boundaries to follow)
- Emergency contact details (including your vet information)
- Favourite toys, blanket, or comfort items
- Preferred treats and daily allowance (if bringing your own)
- Any special instructions or quirks we should know about
Q7: Is a Meet & Greet required?
Yes! A Meet & Greet is required for all new dogs before their first stay. It's a relaxed first introduction (usually at South Park Gardens, or a park near your home if that's easier for you), where we get to know your dog, understand their needs, and make sure everyone feels confident and comfortable. It's the first step in building the trust that makes boarding a happy experience for your pup. 🐾
Q8: Will I receive updates during the boarding?
Absolutely! Throughout your dog's stay, we'll keep you in the loop with regular photos, short videos and messages via WhatsApp — so you can see for yourself that they're happy, settled, and wagging away. 📸
Q9: Do you board multiple dogs at the same time?
To make sure every dog gets the best possible care, we board a maximum of 2 dogs at a time (or up to 3 dogs if they're from the same household). Before accepting a second booking, we always check that the dogs are well-matched in size and temperament, so every stay stays calm, safe and happy for everyone. With 2 sitters at home, your pup is never short of attention, cuddles or one-to-one time. 🐾
First bookings always take priority. If you'd prefer your dog to have our home entirely to themselves (for example, if they're nervous around other dogs, recovering from surgery, or simply love being the centre of attention) we can block the second slot for you at an additional fee. Just let us know at the time of booking. 💛
Q10: Is there a seasonal supplement?
Yes, a £10 per dog, per night seasonal supplement applies during peak holiday periods (Christmas, New Year, Easter and bank holidays). Don't worry, there are no hidden surprises: it's added automatically to your booking estimate, so you'll always see exactly what you're paying before confirming. A minimum stay of 3 nights applies to bookings covering 24, 25 or 26 December, and 31 December – 1 January. 🐾
Full peak date details are available in our Terms & Conditions.
Q11: What areas do you cover for pick-up and collection?
We're based in Wimbledon SW19 and welcome boarding clients from across South West, West and Central London. Free collection covers our local area (Wimbledon, Wimbledon Park, Wimbledon Village, Earlsfield, Southfields, Tooting); a £20 each-way fee applies for further areas. Not sure if we cover your postcode? WhatsApp us - we almost certainly do!
Q12: How do I book a boarding stay?
Simple! Here's how it works: Simple! Here's how it works:
- Book your free Meet & Greet via WhatsApp: so we can get to know your dog and check we're the right fit.
- Complete a short onboarding form: this gives us everything we need to follow your dog's routine to the letter.
- Trial walks or daycare sessions (if helpful): a low-pressure way for your dog to get comfortable with us before their first overnight stay.
- Confirm your dates, check-in and collection times: we'll send everything in writing for your peace of mind.
- Receive your pre-stay checklist: a simple list of what to bring on the day.
We look forward to welcoming your pup! 🐾💛
