Your Home Stays Safe & Looked After While You’re Away

While we care for your dog, we also take care of your home – so you can truly switch off and enjoy your time away.

Some of our packages include light home duties: collecting post, taking out bins, watering plants and keeping an eye on things, so everything’s just as you left it when you return.

Keys & access: your keys are securely stored and returned after every booking. For your first stay, we arrive 30 min early for a walkthrough. You can show us your dog’s routine, alarm settings and anything else that matters. Can’t be there? A quick video walkthrough works perfectly too.

Q1: How does house sitting work?

The ideal choice for dogs who are most settled at home, who find travel and new environments stressful, or for owners who simply don’t want the hassle of drop-offs. During the stay your dog receives dedicated companionship, walks, feeding, playtime and toilet breaks – all tailored to their usual routine. We also look after your home: collecting post, watering plants, putting the bins out and keeping everything safe and secure, so you can truly switch off.

Q2: Do you accept all breeds and sizes?

We welcome most breeds and sizes, though a small number of breeds we’re unable to accept are listed in our Terms & Conditions. Every new dog starts with a free Meet & Greet before we confirm anything – a relaxed introduction at a local park, followed by a home visit if appropriate. It’s how we get to know your dog, understand their routine, and make sure everyone feels comfortable and well matched.

Q3: Will my dog’s routine be maintained while I’m away?

Absolutely. Before the booking begins we take note of your dog’s full routine – feeding times, walk schedule, rest habits and any specific preferences – and follow it throughout the stay. Consistency is key to keeping your dog calm and happy while you’re not there.

Q4: What activities will my dog get during a house sitting visit?

No two pups are the same, so every day is shaped around your dog’s personality, energy and the package you choose. Picture structured walks in beautiful local parks, games and enrichment to keep their mind busy, plenty of cuddles, and the constant companionship that keeps them feeling safe and loved.

As behaviour-trained sitters, we’ll naturally share our knowledge and gently reinforce good habits along the way – so your dog doesn’t just stay happy, they keep building good habits while you’re away too. If you’d like more focused, structured training during the stay, just ask about adding our Behaviour Support or our Half Day + Pup Training package.

Depending on your package, your dog can also enjoy a complimentary group socialisation walk with compatible furry friends – a brilliant way to burn energy, build confidence and make a few tails wag together. 🐾

Q5: What do I need to provide for the stay?

Just the essentials for your dog:

  • Their usual food and any medication
  • Lead, harness, collar and ID tag
  • Their bed and bedding

For overnight stays, please also leave:

  • Clean bed linen for your sitter
  • Access to a few basics – bathroom, kettle, microwave and fridge

We bring our own main meals, and we’ll go through everything together at the Meet & Greet, so you’ll know exactly what to prepare. 🐾

Q6: Can you care for other pets too, not just dogs?

Yes! We’re happy to care for your other pets alongside your dog. Just let us know at the Meet & Greet so we can make sure everyone’s well looked after. Additional pet fees may apply and are confirmed in writing when you book. All pets must be declared beforehand so we can be sure we’re the right fit and that everyone in the home is safe and happy.

Q7: Is a Meet & Greet required?

Yes! A Meet & Greet is required for all new dogs before their first stay. It’s a relaxed first introduction (usually at South Park Gardens, or a park near your home if that’s easier for you), where we get to know your dog, understand their needs, and make sure everyone feels confident and comfortable. It’s the first step in building the trust that makes every house sitting stay a happy one for your pup. 🐾

Q8: Who will be in my home and can I meet them first?

Your home is your safe space, and we never take that trust for granted. Every member of our team is DBS checked, and every booking begins with a free Meet & Greet in a local park, giving you the chance to get to know us, see how we connect with your dog, and make sure everyone feels comfortable before moving forward.

We know how important it is to have someone familiar and trustworthy caring for both your dog and your home. That’s why, for your first booking, we’ll ask for around 30 minutes at the start of the stay to walk through your home together. This gives you time to show us your dog’s routine, alarm settings, feeding instructions, and all the little details that help us care for your home and your dog exactly the way you would.

Q9: Will I receive updates during the house sitting visit?

Absolutely! Throughout your dog’s stay, we’ll keep you in the loop with regular photos, short videos and messages via WhatsApp – so you can see for yourself that they’re happy, settled, and wagging away. 📸

Q10: What health and vaccination requirements apply?

To make sure every stay goes smoothly, all dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations (DHP and Leptospirosis) and flea and worm treatments within the last three months. If your dog has any medical conditions, is on medication, or has any behavioural history we should know about, just let us know before booking — we’d much rather have the full picture so we can give your dog the best possible care. Q11: Do I need to provide an emergency contact?

Yes! For house sitting bookings we ask for two contacts: a primary emergency contact (who can make welfare and care decisions on your behalf if we can’t reach you, UK-based or overseas) and a UK-based collection contact who can physically access your home if needed. We’ll ask for these details when confirming your booking, and we’re happy to discuss arrangements at the Meet & Greet if you’re travelling without UK family or friends available.

Q12: Are you insured and qualified to care for dogs?

Yes! We’re fully insured with Pet Business Insurance and DBS checked for complete peace of mind. Our training and qualifications include:

  • Certificate in Animal Behaviour and Welfare — University of Edinburgh
  • Professional Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Business — The Animal Care (CPD Certified)
  • Pet First Aid and CPR — Upgrad Teaching Center (UTC) (CPD Certified)

Together these mean we’re equipped to handle a wide range of situations and give your dog safe, informed and genuinely knowledgeable care throughout every stay. 🐾

Q13: Is there a seasonal supplement?

Good news, for most of our house sitting packages, your rate stays the same all year round! A seasonal supplement only applies to 24hr care during our busiest periods: Christmas, New Year, Easter and bank holidays, when demand is highest. When it does apply, it’s added to your estimate automatically so there are never any surprises. A minimum 3-night stay applies for bookings covering 24–26 December and 31 December–1 January.

Q14: How far in advance should I book?

We know life gets busy and planning ahead isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth booking early. Our availability fills up fast, particularly during school holidays, bank holidays and Christmas. Securing your spot early means one less thing to worry about when the time comes.

For multi-day bookings, a 30% deposit is required to reserve your dates, with the balance due 7 days before the start of the stay. For single-day bookings, full payment is due at the time of booking. During peak periods, a 50% deposit may be required with the balance due 14 days before. Full payment details are in our Terms & Conditions.

Q15: What’s your cancellation policy?

We know life can be unpredictable, and our first recommendation is always to reschedule rather than cancel – it’s the easiest option for everyone and means your dog never misses out! If cancellation is unavoidable, written notice is required (by email or WhatsApp):

  • Standard bookings: at least 7 days’ notice to avoid charges beyond the deposit.
  • Peak period bookings: at least 15 days’ notice applies, given the high demand for those dates.

Cancellations made outside the required notice period will result in the deposit being retained. Full details on notice periods, deposits and applicable fees are outlined in our Terms & Conditions – we’d encourage you to have a read so everything is clear from the start.
